Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind

Metaphysics is often perceived as a word belonging to already closed chapters of the history of philosophy; its paradigmatic place is found among voluminous treatises that little resemble what is the philosophical trade today. To this is added the fact that a considerable part of the texts of contemporary philosophy has been constituted as an effort to dismantle metaphysical conceptions of ancient origins.
